We're a restaurant first, a golf bay second, and a place where everyone — date nights, families, golfers, sports fans, business dinners — should feel welcome. These house rules keep that working.
Dress code
Smart casual.
You don't need a jacket. Wear what you'd wear to a nice restaurant in Plano. During evening hours we ask:
- No athletic wear, gym clothes, or pajamas in the bar/lounge.
- No tank tops on men after 6 PM.
- No torn or distressed clothing.
- No bachelor / bachelorette party themed gear (sashes, light-up hats, etc.) at the bar — private bay reservations are different.
If we have to ask you to change, we'll do it discreetly. We're trying to keep the room good, not be jerks.
Children
Welcome until 9 PM.
Families are welcome. The bay and putt-putt course work for all ages.
- Children under 12 must be supervised at all times.
- Children must remain at the table or in your reserved bay — no running through the room or playing on the putt-putt unsupervised.
- The bar area is 21+ during evening hours. Reserved bays remain available to all ages.
- Strollers welcome at the table; we'll help you find a spot.
Pets
Service animals welcome.
Per ADA and Texas law, service animals are always welcome. Beyond that:
- Emotional support animals are not permitted indoors per Texas health code (sorry — not our rule).
- If we open patio dining in the future, dogs may be welcome there. We'll update this when it changes.
Bay etiquette
Don't swing at people.
It seems obvious. We say it anyway because alcohol exists. Bay rules:
- Only one person at a time inside the hitting area.
- Don't swing if anyone is within 8 feet behind or beside you.
- Don't touch the screen, the projector, or any sensors.
- Use only practice balls we provide. Real golf balls will damage the screen and you'll be billed for the repair.
- No metal spikes — soft spikes or no spikes only.
- If something seems off with the simulator, ask staff. Don't troubleshoot it yourself.
- Damage caused by misuse, intoxication, or rule violation is billed to the lead guest's payment method on file.
Reservations
Show up. Or tell us.
Specifics in our Terms of Service. The short version:
- Cancel a bay reservation 24+ hours out — full refund.
- Cancel inside 24 hours — deposit non-refundable but transferable to a future booking within 60 days.
- No-show — deposit forfeited. Tables for 6+ no-show may incur a per-seat fee.
- Late arrivals: tables held 15 minutes, bays held 10 minutes. After that we may release the slot.
- Reschedule whenever you need to — just give us notice.
Outside food & drink
Generally no.
- No outside food or drink in the dining room or bay.
- Celebration cakes are an exception — bring them, we'll plate and serve. A small per-person slicing fee applies.
- No outside alcohol of any kind, ever — TABC rules.
- Sealed water bottles for kids and medical reasons are fine.
Photography & phones
Tag us. Respect others.
- Photo of your group, your food, your swing — absolutely. Tag @sipstroke.
- Don't photograph other guests or staff without their consent.
- No flash photography during peak dinner service.
- No tripods, gimbals, or content-creation rigs without prior approval. Email sipstrokedallas@gmail.com if you're filming content for commercial use.
- Speaker on phones / videos with sound — please use headphones.
Service refusal
The hard part.
We reserve the right to refuse service or remove guests who:
- Are intoxicated or impaired beyond safe limits.
- Harass staff, other guests, or anyone in the room.
- Use slurs, threats, or hate speech of any kind.
- Damage property or behave dangerously.
- Violate these house rules after being asked once to comply.
Removal in these cases is at full forfeiture — no refund. We rarely have to do this. But we will when it matters.
Getting home
Don't drive impaired.
If you've been drinking, please use a rideshare or designated driver. We'll happily call you a Lyft or Uber, hold your keys, or let you sit and have water and coffee until you're sorted. Always free.
The point of all this
Make it good for the next person.
If you treat the room like you'd want it treated, treat the staff like you'd want to be treated, and have a great time without making it harder for someone else to have one — you and us are perfectly aligned. Welcome.
