Yes. The balance stays on the card, and they can check it any time from the link in their email.
What if it goes to spam, or they lose it?

Can I change the delivery date?
Yes, any time before it sends. Just reply to your receipt.
Can I get a refund?
Gift cards are non-refundable, but they are transferable — forward the email and the new owner can use it.
